Manny Machado Returns to Lineup with Solo Home Run

After missing time due to a foot issue, Manny Machado returned to the Padres' starting lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks, starting at third base and batting fourth. Despite the team's 3-1 loss, Machado provided the lone run for San Diego, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run. His return to the field is a positive development for the Padres' offense as he looks to build on his performance.
