George Kirby Takes Hard-Luck Loss Against Marlins

George Kirby (7-8) was handed the loss in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat to the Miami Marlins. Despite a respectable effort, Kirby surrendered two runs on eight hits over six innings of work. He managed to strike out seven batters during the contest but ultimately could not overcome the lack of run support. The outing marks another tough result for the Mariners' starter in an otherwise competitive performance.
