Nuggets Waive Jonas Valančiūnas Following Disappointing Playoff Stint

The Denver Nuggets are waiving center Jonas Valančiūnas. The move follows a disappointing stint as the primary backup to Nikola Jokić, during which Valančiūnas fell out of the regular rotation late in the season. His limited production culminated in his absence from the rotation during Denver's first-round playoff loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
