Kevin Gausman Takes Loss Despite Eight Strikeouts

Kevin Gausman (4-8) took the loss against the Giants on Monday, allowing seven runs (four earned) on five hits and five walks over 5.1 innings. Despite the rough outing, he managed to record eight strikeouts. Analysts had previously highlighted Gausman's potential to exploit the Giants' strikeout-prone lineup, but he ultimately struggled to contain the San Francisco offense in the 10-1 defeat.
