Cubs Sign RHP Jake Woodford to Major League Deal

The Chicago Cubs have signed right-hander Jake Woodford to a one-year major league contract. The move was finalized ahead of the team's rain-delayed game against the St. Louis Cardinals. As part of the corresponding roster adjustments, the Cubs designated Bryse Wilson for assignment. Woodford joins the active roster to provide immediate pitching depth for the Chicago staff.
