Sergei Bobrovsky Claims No. 72 Jersey for Upcoming Season

Sergei Bobrovsky has officially claimed the No. 72 jersey for the upcoming season. This decision impacts the Toronto Maple Leafs' 2026 first overall pick, Gavin McKenna, who previously wore the number. With McKenna's preferred backup options of No. 27 and No. 9 already retired and hanging in the rafters, the young prospect must now select a new jersey number for his debut campaign with the Maple Leafs.
