David Bednar Placed on Paternity List

The New York Yankees officially placed relief pitcher David Bednar on the paternity list on Monday. The move requires Bednar to step away from the team temporarily to attend to family matters. Per MLB roster regulations, he will be sidelined for a minimum of one day and a maximum of three days while on the list. The Yankees will look to their bullpen depth to cover high-leverage innings during his brief absence from the active roster.
