Marcelo Mayer Placed on 10-Day IL with Left Forearm Stress Reaction

The Boston Red Sox have officially placed infielder Marcelo Mayer on the 10-day injured list, effective Friday, due to a stress reaction in his left forearm. The injury has sidelined the infielder as he begins his recovery process. While the organization has not yet provided a specific timeline for his return, the move to the IL necessitates a temporary roster adjustment for the team as they manage his health and rehabilitation moving forward.
