Avalanche Trade Valeri Nichushkin to Blue Jackets

The Colorado Avalanche have traded winger Valeri Nichushkin to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 third-round pick, and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Nichushkin, who is currently managing a lower-body injury, departs Colorado following a disappointing playoff exit. The move marks a significant shift in the Avalanche's forward depth as they look to reshape their roster, while the Blue Jackets acquire the veteran winger to bolster their lineup.
