Enters Mid-Game Wednesday; Records Hit and Costly Error

Marcelo Mayer entered Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Rockies in the third inning, replacing the injured Caleb Durbin. Mayer, who has been dealing with foot issues, finished the game 1-for-2 with a run scored. However, his performance was marred by a critical fielding error during the contest. The appearance confirms Mayer is available for game action despite his recent foot concerns, though his defensive lapse proved costly in the narrow defeat against Colorado.
