Joe Ryan Strikes Out Nine in Loss to Dodgers

Ryan (5-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out nine over six innings. Ryan, who was tasked with helping the Twins avoid a series sweep, struggled to contain the Dodgers' offense despite his high strikeout total. The outing brings his season record to 5-4 as the Twins look to regroup following the series finale.
