Morez Johnson Jr. Selected by Mavericks

Michigan forward Morez Johnson Jr. was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the ninth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Johnson is one of three Michigan players to be taken in the lottery, marking a historic first for the school. His addition to the Mavericks is part of a broader trend of Southwest Division teams prioritizing front-court prospects during the first round of this year's draft.
