Phillies Recall Right-Hander Alan Rangel from Triple-A

The Philadelphia Phillies have officially recalled right-handed pitcher Alan Rangel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. The move bolsters the team's pitching depth as they navigate their current mid-season schedule. Rangel joins the major-league roster as part of a series of roster transactions made by the club today, which also included the reinstatement of Kyle Backhus. His arrival provides the Phillies with an additional arm in the bullpen or rotation following his recent performance in the minors.
