Trae Young Secures $212 Million Extension with Wizards

Trae Young has agreed to a four-year, $212 million contract extension with the Washington Wizards, including a player option for the final year. After declining his $48.97 million option for the 2026-27 season, Young secures a long-term future in D.C. While the deal solidifies his role as the franchise's cornerstone, he is currently managing a quadriceps injury. The move signals the Wizards' intent to build around him, likely starting with the No. 1 overall draft pick.
