Nears Return to Mets Lineup Following Calf Strain
Francisco Lindor is approaching a return to the New York Mets after being sidelined with a left calf strain. Currently rehabbing with Triple-A Syracuse, Lindor may travel to Citi Field on Monday to participate in a simulated game to maintain his workload. While he is not yet ready to rejoin the active roster, manager Carlos Mendoza indicated the star shortstop is "getting close." His return would provide a significant boost to a Mets team looking to stabilize their performance in June.
