Sharks Acquire Michael Kesselring and 27th Pick from Sabres

The San Jose Sharks have acquired 26-year-old defenseman Michael Kesselring from the Buffalo Sabres. In the transaction, the Sharks received Kesselring and the 27th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft in exchange for the 20th overall selection. The 6-foot-5 defender, previously acquired by Buffalo from Utah in June 2025, was moved as part of this draft-related pick swap. His departure from Buffalo has already sparked speculation regarding further potential roster moves for the Sabres.
