Ryan Waldschmidt Optioned to Triple-A Reno

The Diamondbacks officially optioned Ryan Waldschmidt to Triple-A Reno on Monday. This roster move was executed to accommodate the activation of Lourdes Gurriel from the 10-day injured list. Waldschmidt will head back to the minor leagues to continue his professional development as the Diamondbacks adjust their active roster for the upcoming series against the Angels.
