Seth Lugo Placed on 7-Day Concussion IL by Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals placed right-handed pitcher Seth Lugo on the 7-day concussion injured list on Friday. The move comes after Lugo was evaluated for concussion-like symptoms, necessitating a period of rest and adherence to MLB's concussion protocols. He will be eligible to return in a week, provided he clears all medical requirements. The Royals have not yet announced a corresponding roster move or a replacement for his spot in the starting rotation during his week-long absence.
