Marcelo Mayer Returns to Red Sox Lineup After Injury

Marcelo Mayer is back in the Boston Red Sox starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers. Mayer, who had been sidelined with back and neck issues, will serve as the starting shortstop and bat eighth. His return provides a boost to the Red Sox infield depth as he looks to contribute immediately following his recovery.
