Chris Bassitt Placed on 15-Day IL With Lower Back Tightness

The Orioles have placed right-hander Chris Bassitt on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Friday, due to lower back tightness. The 37-year-old recently visited a back specialist in Baltimore while the team was in Toronto and will undergo continued treatment and evaluation. Trey Gibson has been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to fill the vacancy in the rotation created by Bassitt's absence.
