Eric Robinson Deflects Goal in Game 1 Stanley Cup Final Loss
Eric Robinson was involved in a key sequence during the Carolina Hurricanes' 5-4 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. A shot by Shea Theodore banked into the net off Robinson's left shin pad. The goal was subject to scrutiny for potential goaltender interference by Keegan Kolesar, but Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour chose not to challenge the play, stating he was not confident the situation room would see enough evidence to overturn the goal.
