Tomas Hertl Nets Game-Winner to Secure Game 1 Victory

Tomas Hertl secured a 5-4 victory for the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final opener, scoring his fourth postseason goal with 3:24 remaining to break a 4-4 tie. After a 29-game goal drought earlier this season, Hertl has regained his scoring touch at a critical time, marking his second game-winning goal in three contests. Acquired in March 2024, Hertl is now proving his value as an elite forward, helping Vegas extend their playoff winning streak to seven games.
