Cale Makar Returns to Lineup as Avalanche Fall in Series Sweep

Norris Trophy winner Cale Makar returned to the Colorado Avalanche lineup for Game 4 of the Western Conference Final, but his presence wasn't enough to overcome a 3-0 series deficit. Despite Makar's return and coach Jared Bednar's willingness to utilize a limited Nathan MacKinnon, the Avalanche were defeated 2-1 by the Vegas Golden Knights. The loss concludes Colorado's season as the President's Trophy winners were swept in four games, failing to force a Game 5 in the series.
