Named Eastern Conference Finals MVP as Knicks Sweep Cavaliers for Finals Berth

Jalen Brunson secured the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals MVP award, averaging 25.5 points and 7.8 assists to lead the New York Knicks to their first NBA Finals since 1999. After sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brunson received the Larry Bird Trophy from franchise legend Walt Frazier in a passing-the-torch moment alongside Patrick Ewing. Humbled by the honor, the star guard has cemented his status as a central figure in a historic postseason run that has the Knicks just four wins from a title.
