Wembanyama Named All-Defensive First Team Amidst Playoff Deficit

Victor Wembanyama was named a unanimous 2025-26 NBA All-Defensive First Team selection. Despite the honor, he and the Spurs face a 2-1 series deficit after a 123-108 Game 3 loss to the Thunder. Wembanyama recorded 26 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks in 39 minutes. He acknowledged the need to be a better team player as OKC utilizes Isaiah Hartenstein to neutralize his paint impact, viewing this playoff challenge as a vital part of his NBA education.
