Sam Malinski Expected to See Expanded Role in Game 1

With star defenseman Cale Makar ruled out for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Vegas Golden Knights, Sam Malinski is expected to step into an expanded role for the Colorado Avalanche. Analysts and betting previews suggest Malinski will be tasked with increased responsibilities on the blue line to help fill the void left by Makar's absence during Wednesday's series opener at Ball Arena.
