Alex Lyon Pulled Early in Game 6 Loss

Alex Lyon's start in Saturday's critical Game 6 against Montreal was short-lived. After being named the starter following the morning skate, Lyon was pulled halfway through the first period after allowing three goals on just three shots. He ultimately stopped only one of four shots faced before being replaced by Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. The Sabres eventually rallied to win 8-3, forcing a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.
