Alex Lyon to Start Game 2 Following Playoff Surge

After emerging as a catalyst for the Buffalo Sabres this spring, 33-year-old goaltender Alex Lyon will protect the home goal in Game 2 against the Canadiens on Friday. Lyon, who was not retained by Detroit after two seasons, recently displayed a fearless demeanor in his first career playoff start, notably stopping a penalty shot from Viktor Arvidsson. His performance has been instrumental in Buffalo's second-round push, and he looks to build on that momentum in tonight's contest.
