Moritz Seider Overlooked for Norris Trophy Despite Career-Best Season

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider has been snubbed for the Norris Trophy, the NHL's annual award for the league's top defenseman. Despite putting up numbers considered worthy of the honor and enjoying what is widely regarded as his best professional season to date, Seider was overlooked in the final selection process. The young blueliner's exclusion comes as a surprise to many following his significant impact on the Red Wings' defensive core and his elite statistical production.
