Victor Hedman Activated from LTIR Following Mental Health Absence

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Victor Hedman has been officially activated from long-term injured reserve. Hedman recently disclosed that his absence, which caused him to miss the final 15 regular-season games and the entire postseason, was to address his mental health. The nine-time All-Star described the decision as difficult but necessary. He has remained in contact with the organization and has begun participating in team skates as he prepares for his return to the ice.
