Cale Makar Returns from Injury with Three-Point Game 1 Performance

Returning from injury, Cale Makar dominated in the Avalanche's 9-6 Game 1 victory over Minnesota. He recorded two goals on three shots, added an assist, blocked two shots, and finished with two PIM and a plus-2 rating. His offensive output from the blue line was central to the high-scoring postseason opener, which saw 15 combined goals—the 10th such occurrence in playoff history and only the second since 1994, with five goals scored in each period.
