Nils Lundkvist Avoids Hospital After Suffering Facial Laceration

Dallas Stars defenseman Nils Lundkvist avoided a hospital visit after sustaining a deep laceration to the left side of his face. The injury occurred during the second period of Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Minnesota, which leveled the series at 2-2. While coach Glen Gulutzan confirmed Lundkvist did not require hospitalization, he noted that the team is awaiting further updates following additional medical examinations. The Stars had the day off Sunday as they monitor his status.
