Chet Holmgren Named DPOY Finalist After Playoff Win

Chet Holmgren has been named a finalist for the 2025-26 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award, alongside Victor Wembanyama and Ausar Thompson. While no Gonzaga product has previously won a major NBA award, Holmgren is a key piece of the Thunder's postseason run. He recently helped Oklahoma City secure a dominant 119-84 Game 1 playoff victory over the Phoenix Suns, contributing 16 points and maintaining his high-impact defensive presence on the floor.
