Wembanyama Scores Historic 35 Points in Playoff Debut

Victor Wembanyama dominated in his postseason debut, scoring 35 points—the most by a Spurs player in a playoff opener—to lead San Antonio to a 111-98 win over Portland. Named a finalist for both MVP and DPOY, the 7-foot-4 star thrived under the watch of Spurs legends, including Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan. Wembanyama served as the focal point of the team's schemes, securing San Antonio's first playoff victory since 2019 and establishing his authority on the league's biggest stage.
