Aleksander Barkov Cleared to Represent Finland at World Championship

Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov has received a clean bill of health and will represent Finland at the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland this May. Barkov missed the entire NHL season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee just 20 minutes into his first training camp practice. This international appearance will mark his first competitive action since the Panthers won their second consecutive Stanley Cup last June.
