Luka Dončić Cleared for Awards Eligibility Despite Injury Absence

Luka Dončić has been granted eligibility for 2026 NBA awards after the league and NBPA approved his Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge, despite playing only 64 games. However, he remains sidelined by injury and is not expected to return for the Lakers' first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets. His absence forces the team to rely on increased production from players like Bronny James as they navigate the postseason without their star.
