Shootout Heroics Secure Flyers' First Playoff Berth Since 2020

Goaltender Dan Vladar was the hero for the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night, stopping Carolina’s fourth shootout attempt to secure a 3-2 victory over the Hurricanes. The win officially clinches the Flyers' first playoff berth since 2020, sparking a wild celebration at the Wells Fargo Center. Vladar’s composure in the crease against the Eastern Conference's top seed allowed Philadelphia to secure a post-season spot that the home crowd hasn't enjoyed since a home series back in 2018.
