Luka Dončić Ruled Out for First Round; Returning to U.S. This Week

Luka Dončić will miss the Los Angeles Lakers' first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets due to a strained hamstring. While the star guard is expected to return to America this week, he remains sidelined and scheduled for re-evaluation. Head coach JJ Redick confirmed the team must navigate the early postseason without Dončić's critical production, forcing the Lakers to enter as underdogs. Marcus Smart is expected to take on an integral playmaking role.
