Casey DeSmith Backstops Stars to 6-5 Comeback Win Over Maple Leafs

Casey DeSmith earned the start for the Dallas Stars on Monday and made 22 saves to help his team secure a 6-5 road victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Despite the Stars falling into early deficits of 3-0 and 5-3, DeSmith provided necessary stops to allow for a late-game rally. The win helps playoff-bound Dallas lock into the Central Division’s No. 2 seed. DeSmith was tasked with facing a high-powered Toronto offense and held firm during a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair.
