Brent Burns Hits 1,000 Consecutive Games Milestone

Brent Burns reached a historic milestone on Saturday, becoming the second player in NHL history to skate in 1,000 consecutive games during a matchup against the Dallas Stars. The 41-year-old defenseman, currently in his first season with the Avalanche, has recorded 11 goals this year. He joins Nicklas Lidstrom as the only defensemen in league history to score double-digit goals at age 40 or older.
