Brent Burns to Hit 1,000 Consecutive Games Milestone

At 41 years old, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Brent Burns is set to play in his 1,000th consecutive regular-season game this Saturday against the Dallas Stars. Burns, who famously played through a significant facial injury in 2013, remains a durable anchor for the team. Having joined the Avalanche on a one-year deal to chase his first Stanley Cup, his upcoming milestone underscores his remarkable resilience as Colorado competes for the NHL's top seed with eight games remaining.
