Cale Makar Sidelined Short-Term With Upper-Body Injury

Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar is set to miss a few games due to an upper-body injury sustained during Monday's 9-2 victory over Calgary. Head coach Jared Bednar confirmed the injury is not considered serious, though Makar will be sidelined for the immediate future. The injury occurred following a hit along the boards in the second period. Colorado, currently chasing the league's best record, will be without him for upcoming contests, including Wednesday's game against Vancouver.
