Casey DeSmith Suffers Overtime Loss Against Philadelphia

Casey DeSmith started in goal for the Dallas Stars in Sunday's road matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite a strong effort to anchor the defense, DeSmith allowed a sharp-angle goal to Trevor Zegras with 1:33 remaining in overtime, resulting in a 2-1 loss for the Stars. The defeat continues a slumping stretch for Dallas, as DeSmith was unable to hold off the late-charging Flyers in the final minutes of the extra frame.
