Ilya Sorokin Records NHL-Leading Seventh Shutout

Ilya Sorokin made 26 saves to earn his NHL-leading seventh shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over the Blue Jackets on Sunday. This performance marked his franchise-record 29th career shutout and tied his single-season high set in 2021-22. Sorokin was confirmed for the start as part of a back-to-back rotation, providing a gutsy effort that helped the Islanders move back into a playoff spot.
