Jacob Fowler Expected to Remain with Canadiens Through Season

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports that the door is wide open for rookie goaltender Jacob Fowler to remain with the Canadiens for the remainder of the season. Despite a recent loss to Anaheim, the organization views Fowler as a prized prospect and is unlikely to rotate him back to the minors given the limited call-up availability post-deadline. While Montreal has not officially confirmed his status, his performance has earned him the opportunity to compete for the starting role.
