Maple Leafs Sign Goaltending Prospect Artur Akhtyamov to Extension
The Maple Leafs have signed 24-year-old goaltending prospect Artur Akhtyamov to a three-year, $2.7 million contract extension. The deal begins next season, starting as a two-way contract before converting to a one-way deal for 2027-29. Akhtyamov has posted 18 wins and a .904 save percentage through 32 games this season with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, earning an All-Star nod. He made his NHL debut on December 13 against Edmonton, stopping all five shots faced in relief.
