Simon Holmstrom Scores Twice in Islanders' 3-2 Win Over Flames

Simon Holmstrom led the Islanders to a 3-2 win over Calgary with a two-goal performance. Holmstrom showcased chemistry with new linemate Brayden Schenn, scoring off a Schenn feed, and added a short-handed goal set up by Jean-Gabriel Pageau. Coach Patrick Roy praised Holmstrom's 200-foot play, noting his versatility. While his success has historically been tied to Pageau, his effective play alongside Schenn provides the team with valuable lineup flexibility.
