Radko Gudas Suspended Five Games for Kneeing Incident

Anaheim Ducks captain Radko Gudas has been suspended five games by the NHL Department of Player Safety following a knee-on-knee hit on Auston Matthews that resulted in a season-ending injury for the Maple Leafs star. The suspension, determined via a phone hearing, has faced sharp criticism from the Maple Leafs organization and Matthews' agent, who labeled the discipline insufficient given the severity of the injury and Gudas' history as a repeat offender.
