Dominik Shine Scores First Career NHL Goal for Red Wings

After a decade of AHL grit, 32-year-old Dominik Shine netted his first career NHL goal in his fifth game Sunday against New Jersey. Assisted by James van Riemsdyk, Shine's goal was celebrated by teammates and coach Todd McLellan, who praised his relentless work ethic. Shine, a Grand Rapids Griffins captain, has 221 points in 521 AHL games. While his roster spot remains fluid pending Dylan Larkin's return, Shine's impact in limited minutes is forcing the team to take notice.
