Panthers Retain Sergei Bobrovsky; Contract Extension Talks Underway

Despite trade rumors leading up to the deadline, the Florida Panthers kept goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. The 37-year-old, who has backstopped the team to three straight Stanley Cup Finals, is a pending unrestricted free agent. The organization is currently discussing a contract extension with him. Teammate Matthew Tkachuk publicly expressed his desire for Bobrovsky to remain with the team, citing his immense value to the organization both on and off the ice.
